Below are resources listed in the Bay Area of Florida for anxiety reduction groups, online groups, and resources for coping with uncertainty including yoga groups and other forms of meditative practices.
1. Psychology today, with the links provided below, lists several support groups for anxiety, depression, and skills groups in our area. Specifically, groups for anxiety, specific social anxiety groups, and groups for grief/loss.

2. Meetup.com provides wonderful opportunities for yoga courses and support groups in St. Petersburg and within 25 miles of St. Pete that are available to the general public.

3. The National Alliance of Mental Health Initiative (NAMI) for Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties are listed below. These groups are free to the community and part of a national initiative for support for families of those with loved ones with mental health issues, as well as for persons with mental health issues themselves. These groups are anonymous and have been studied extensively as being effective for education, understanding and coping with anxiety, depression and any other mental health disorder.
4. The Depression and Bipolar Support group of Tampa Bay’s website is listed below. They offer in-person support groups in Sarasota, Brandon, St. Pete, Hillsborough and Clearwater. This is a great opportunity to find support within a local support group that is free for all persons.

5. PsychCentral has identified 6 online anxiety support groups for those whom in person is not feasible. It includes free online anxiety support groups that include anxiety reduction skills and provide you the opportunity to browse and choose which support group is most fitting for you.
